Terms of service
Last updated 20 July 2026
These terms govern your use of OS3, the work-management platform operated by Illumination Labs (“we”, “us”). By signing in to OS3 or using this website, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.
Accounts and access
Access to OS3 is by invitation and requires an account with our identity provider. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at contact@os-3.io if you believe an account has been compromised.
Permissions inside OS3 are set by your organisation's administrators. Do not attempt to access data, projects or clients you have not been granted access to.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use OS3 to store or transmit anything unlawful, infringing, or malicious;
- probe, scan or attempt to breach the service's authentication or authorisation, or access another organisation's data;
- interfere with the service's operation, including by overloading it or circumventing rate limits;
- reverse engineer, resell, or make the service available to third parties outside your organisation without our written agreement.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into OS3 — your projects, tasks, time records, documents, meeting notes and files. You grant us only the licence needed to host, process and display that content in order to run the service for you and the colleagues you share it with. We do not use your content to advertise to you.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for meeting any obligations you owe your own clients about it — including telling meeting participants when a notes bot is present, as the law where you operate may require.
Connected third-party services
OS3 can connect to services such as Google, Jira, Slack and HubSpot at your request. Those services are operated by their own providers under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, behaviour or changes to their APIs. Revoking a connection may stop related OS3 features from working.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep OS3 running and improving it continuously, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may add, change or remove features. Where a change would materially reduce functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.
Fees
Where access to OS3 is provided under a written agreement with your organisation, that agreement governs fees and payment terms and, in case of conflict, takes precedence over these terms.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using OS3 at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, if required by law, or if continued access poses a security risk. On termination we will make your data available for export for a reasonable period and then delete it, subject to the retention rules in our privacy policy.
Disclaimers
OS3 is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI-generated meeting summaries are an aid, not a record of legal accuracy — check anything that matters against the source.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from these terms or your use of OS3. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or, where no fees were paid, to one hundred US dollars.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be communicated to account holders by email. Continuing to use OS3 after a change means you accept the updated terms.
